Beef Brisket

May 10, 2011 By Kristie

10 May

Nothing like having a freezer full of beef! I just got a 1/4 of grass fed no hormone beef…so once again I am inspired!
This is a variation of a meal a friend made a few years ago:

1 beef brisket
1 jar of chili sauce
1 can coke
(she used onion soup mix) I am using 1-2 sweet onions sliced, 4 whole garlic cloves & pepper, celtic salt & garlic salt
olive oil…
Season beef with salt & pepper & garlic salt or powder… Brown in oil of your choice…
Place the brisket fat side up.. & top with garlic, onions, coke & chili sauce… cover & bake 300 for about 3 1/2 – 4 hours…. Allow to rest for 15 minutes before cutting..cut against the grain
