Home Cooking Made Simple

Broccoli with garlic & olive oil

January 23, 2010 By Kristie

We eat this alot!

1 head of broccoli or bag (16 oz) of Frozen Florets

3 T olive oil (organic cold pressed if you have it)

1-2  cloves of garlic (minced)

Put your broccoli in a frying pan and fill half way with water and cover. Steam it until it’s almost done. Then drain the water & add your garlic & oil and cover again to finish cooking (on medium heat) Salt & pepper when ready and serve. I like to chop this fine when it’s done or you could leave it whole. This is great topped with romano cheese too.

To make this a meal you could toss this recipe with favorite cooked pasta of your choice!

Use this same recipe for spinach or cauliflower too!! But for spinach you do not need to steam in water first just cover the frozen spinach with oil & garlic
