Well here we are again. It’s a brand new year, a clean slate. So how do you want to begin? This year’s focus for me is “Health”. No, not a diet. But spiritual & physical health. So how do me make our goals our reality? We make a plan and then we put one foot in front the other. It’s not about being perfect but about realizing that every choice we make has a corresponding consequence. (read The Best Yes, Lysa Terkeurst)
For me I needed to take care of my health. I need to make myself a priority. We have embarked on a new kind of doctor, covenantmd. I encourage you to look into it. I didn’t go to a doctor because it was so expensive and even when we had insurance you never knew what the costs would be. I have to appointment on Tuesday a.m. (did I mention he’s coming to me 🙂
Secondly, being plagued with thyroid dysfunction for quite some time. I have done a lot of research and I am embarking on an autoimmune diet. I have looked at a lot of different diets but I will not follow one in particular. I have studied the effects of sugar, processed foods, grains and dairy can have on the thyroid. Although, I don’t typically eat many processed foods.. those GF things have crept in & need the boot I am afraid. I have joined a sugar/health challenge group on fb for some accountability.
The biggest and most important piece in all of the this is my spiritual health. Regularly practicing being still. Prayer. Seeking God as my focus knowing He has a plan for my life and I long to walk in step with Him.
Bible study. Rest. 2015 was a busy year and I need to slow it down a bit and learn it’s ok to say No when its too much & Yes to health.
I do recommend drinking lots of good water. essential oils .. natural products.. good exercise. Jennifer Wilkins Bible Study. Whole30. But those are my hopes for the new year. Are you tired of being sick and tired.. feeling bad and beating yourself up. You don’t need a new year to change. Any change begins with a choice.
Blessings & Happy New Year!
