Hosting a cooking party couldn’t be easier. So how does it work? You simply fill out the contact sheet or message me on the facebook page. For example: I received an e-mail via the contact form asking for a cooking party. I asked what kind of theme she was looking to have. (themes are posted on this site) She responded with a mix between French food & comfort food. So I created this menu and sent it to her:
Appetizers: Pear & brie with balsamic crostini, gruyere and mushroom onion bites, Baked Brie with figs, walnuts & apple, Ham, Spinach & Gruyere Pinwheels, French Onion tartlets
Salad: Salad Nicoise, Warm Autumn Goat cheese Salad, French Roasted Beet Salad with mixed greens, Mixed greens with apple, pecan and bacon
Entrees: Coq Au Vin, Chicken Chasseur (mushrooms, onion, tomatoes & thyme), Chicken Cordon Bleu, Beef Burgundy, Braised Pork loin with
mustard, apples & herbs
Side: Ratatouille, Rice Pilaf, Potato Gratin, Spinach & Leek Gratin, Duchess Potatoes, Lyonnaise Potatoes
Desserts: Profiteroles, Cream puffs, Apple & Pecan tart, Pear Tart, Chocolate Mousse Cups
From that menu she chose 5 items to make for her cooking party menu :
Gruyere & Mushroom Onion Bites
Warm Autumn Goat Cheese Salad
Coq Au Vin
Apple & Pecan Tart
The day of the class her and her group with arrive and everything will be prepped and ready. Then together we will prepare the recipes. And while they enjoy all their creations I will take care of the clean up.
Cooking parties are a great meal out but the twist is you get to learn how to prepare the meal so you can recreate it again.
