Aunt Joan made this years ago & I loved it. It’s so light, perfect for summer. We were having friends over for Sunday dinner & I wanted something for dessert that I could make ahead of time but also something light & refreshing. I baked a box angel food cake in a 9×13 according to package. While the cake was baking I prepared 1 box of berry flavored jello according to the package. When the cake came out, I used a straw to poke holes in the cake. I cooled the cake & when jello was 1/2 set poured it over the cake & topped with whipped cream (or cool whip). Chill until fully set.
