Nanny’s Cranberry Applesauce

November 24, 2009 By Kristie

24 Nov

8 – 10 apples cored and quartered with the skins on
steamed in a pot with a lid filled 1/2 way with water & 1 cup fresh cranberries & 1 cup sugar until very soft. Strain in a applesauce strainer. You can cheat alittle & use 1 can jellied cranberry sauce instead after you strain apples and simmer on low until all incorporated.

*If you do not have an applesauce crank/strainer just peel yourapples before you cook them and once they are cooked hand mash them with a potato masher
