Fresh sea scallops
Bacon sliced cut in half

Oil
Wrap 1/2 slice of bacon around a scallop & place a toothpick through the scallop to hold in place. Once all your scallops are wrapped, heat oil until hot. Put scallops in the oil and fry them until the bacon in lightly browned. Drain on a rack or paper towels serve hot.
* A couple of notes here with frying : make sure your oil is hot. If it is not hot enough your food will be greasy. A good way to check is flick a little flour in the oil, if it bubbles right away, it is ready. Also do not over crowd your pan …give the food room to cook.
