Well this year we have returned to our health convictions of eating very clean.. When I announced to my family that I’d be happy to make a fruit & veggie tray, I was meet with glares & I believe I may have heard the sounds of crickets…Finally it was JD who broke the silence with a resounding, “our my dead body.” So this is our menu:
Baked Skins: Potatoes cut into wdeges & rubbed with grapeseed oil (or oil of you choice) & seasoned with celtic salt (you can use salt) & pepper. Baked at 425 for 30 minutes & then topped with cheddar cheese & cooked nitrate free bacon crumbled for 15 more minutes
Baked Wings: Yes baked…. Bake wings on a baking sheet at 425 until golden brown & then tossed in sweet thai chili sauce or “Franks hot sauce”.. dipping sauce is an organic ranch seasoning mix with plain greek yogurt
Baked Chicken Nachoes.. Tortillas topped with cheddar/jack cheese (that I shredded myself to save us on the anticaking chemicals;) sliced grilled chicken breast, jalapenos & homemade salsa 🙂 or top this with turkey black bean chili .. Broiled
